Conservation Resources Guide

The following pages list and describe various conservation agencies, nature centers, parks and recreation areas that may be receptive to projects fulfilling Scout Service Project requirements or otherwise need volunteers. These pages have been assembled to provide Westchester-Putnam Council scouts with a ready resource guide of potential sites for Eagle Scout Service Projects, Leave No Trace Award projects, William T. Hornaday Natural Resource Conservation Award projects, and service requirements for other rank advancement.

Conservation Organizations & Agencies - basic information on agencies that may be aware of project or volunteer opportunities among their constituent members. They include the Nature Conservancy, New York/New Jersey Trail Conference, Federated Conservationists of Westchester County, Hudson River Audubon Society, Putnam County Land Trust, and the Westchester County Department of Parks and Conservation.
